[Canada - Norway] maple_syrup_can September 19 2011, 05:41:12 UTC
[Canada cuddles a little closer to the warmth beside him, his arms hugging other person's arm almost unconsciously. He feels like he's just had a nice dream. Something... really nostalgic. Maybe he could fall back asleep...]

[HAHA OKAY since I don't think you saw my question I'm just going to assume that there's something established between them to make this easier.

Meanwhile Norway is drifting between consciousnesses, vaguely aware of the warmth pressing up against him. For a cold nation the notion is uncomfortable even when asleep, and so he unconsciously attempts to turn away from it.]

[[Yes, I totally didn't see that! I'm sorry! (I blame plurk for eating comments?)]]

[Canada gives a little 'mmm-' as the arm slips from his grasp. Drowsily he tucks his arms to his chest and presses close to the back that is now turned to him. He just wants to be comfy... he doesn't have to get up...]

[It's that constant heat that finally pulls him from his sleep minutes after the fact, dull eyes opening before the Nordic shifts a second time. He's in no particular rush as he slowly turns until he's facing his partner, idly reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind Canada's ear.]

Yer worse than some I've been with.

[The movement rouses Canada, and he squints blearily at the face that turns to speak to him.]

I'm sorry- Eh-?

[The habitual apology is cut off as Canada recognizes Norway. Blushing brightly in surprise, he scoots back a bit. He's at a loss for words, but he manages to stammer out,]

I- didn't-? Ah-- S-sorry, what?

[If Norway were the type to be openly amused then he'd show it, but instead he moves back, propping his head up with a hand.]

Ya always like this t'yer other partners?

[Canada, on the other hand, pretty much wears his emotions on his sleeve, for those willing to notice.]

[Blushing, he looks down at the pillow and draws up the sheet to his chin.]

Y-yes? I- I'm sorry, Norway. I guess I'm just more used to seeing Kumaranou when I wake up...

So yer sayin' ya prefer him to me. [And, like the rest of his partners, Canada isn't exempt from his teasing.

Norway casually stretches under the covers, and you can decide whether he's wearing some patchy blue pajamas because he is a cheapass or nothing at all heh heh.]

[[lol- I don't think Canada would have fallen asleep if it were nothing at all... XD]]

[Canada blushes horribly- he doesn't know what to say to that!]

I'm sorry...

[When he stretches out Canada shyly reaches a hand from under the sheet and gently snags one sleeve in his fingers.]

N-Norway... would you wear new pajamas?

[Of course, Norway isn't exactly used to someone who doesn't at least try to retaliate, so he refrains from making a fuss of it. Instead he focuses that energy when Canada comments on his clothing, disapproval obvious.]

These are still fine, you. [Unfortunately, they've obviously seen better days with the near-comical amount of patches sewn all over the worn and faded fabric.]

Th-they are more patches than fabric... I- I'm sure that we could find something just as comfy for you to wear out over again.

[He shakes his head.] That's spendin' needlessly. Could use that money on somethin' more useful.

But if it was a gift-- Ah- well, what would you rather spend twenty dollars on?

[Norway's about to answer when he catches the amount Canada had been planning to spend, attention immediately directing itself to that.]

Oi. Ya can buy a decent pair with five.

Y-yes... B-but all the really comfy ones are about twenty. And they last a lot longer too. It's like an... investment.

[He actually considers this for a moment.]

'nd yer buyin'? [Obviously that is the most important part.]
