TOMORROW
Well tomorrow I will be taking the first of the certification tests I have to take for this class in PC Repair Tech. One of my classmates just sent me a panicky email. He had taken a practice test on a web site and failed at 80% correct. I had to laugh and wince in sympathy the test we will be taking pass is 67.5% so no comparison there, material ( Read more... ) -
The Weather
Yesterday was a phenomenal day for weather here. We started with a relatively ordinary cool morning, warming up to the high 60's by noon. Then temperatures started going down, by 4 it was 37 degrees and dark clouds blanketed the sky. RAIN
It is now 10 degrees colder than it was at dawn and pouring rain. My sidewalk and driveway are flooded and the worst it still out there according to the radar picture. The weather channel says rain and showers for the next 10 days. Maybe the drought prognosticators will stop....not likely but we can hope. -
Daylight savings time
This morning I am experiencing my annual annoyance at the time change. I am a hypocrite, I know, I do not mind the fall change as we gain an hour of sleep. I only mind spring when we loose an hour of sleep, and then we struggle to adjust by either going to bed early or not getting enough sleep for a few days. The weather man is predicting record cold wih rain, snow levels are supposed to drop close to sea level. It will be the second time (if it happens) that it has snowed that low in the last 35 years. I had just moved to the Bay Area about a month before when it snowed in San Francisco. It melted on the streets and stuck to the sidewalks, the weather ( Read more... ) -
