We were struck with a mild 4.0 earthquake yesterday afternoon while I was at the office. However, the effect was magnified for us since we were staying at the building's 15th floor. It was barely noticeable at first then it got stronger. Lasted for several seconds and it felt as if the entire building was made of jell-O. Pretty scary ( Read more... )

We were waiting for the whole thing to really start shaking up before ducking under the tables. While the building was swaying, my officemates and I were just looking at each other, remarking calmly, "Oh wow it is getting stronger"... and GRINNING. The scared kind of grinning of course.

The earthquake happened in a kind of circling motion so afterwards I was a bit dizzy for the rest of the day. Maybe my brain was having its own aftershocks or still sloshing around inside my skull even after the quake was done. LOL :P
