Theory's and Opinions

Again I was thinking about the seasons finale. There are so many questions on that.
I read the new report on BuddyTV and had to agree with the author a lot. Kripke and co. can not kill any of the Winchesters anymore, that's for sure.
But there are now so many interesting theories flying around, I just had to grab a few and think them over:

Dean is not dead. He's going to have to go to the hospital and be put on life support while Sam and Bobby figure out how to bring him back. What is hell, really? We assume it's a specific place, but it might very well be a spot in our MIND that is dormant until awakened under very specific circumstances. It's now up to Sam, using his special powers, to withdraw his brother from the hell in Dean's mind. Doing so isn't going to be easy, and it will be dangerous, because Dean is being tortured in there in many horrific ways, physically, emotionally and mentally. Sam may bring Dean back, but will be he the same sane, rational man he was before? Love, Robin

And it could totally work :)
I mean, I know the theory that "hell" is in this case just in Deans mind and all ... but didn't he seem pretty dead?
And Sam crying all over him *sigh* That seemed pretty much like Dean wasn't really alive anymore.
About Deans condition when he comes back: I think we all agree that he won't come out of hell, yell "Rise and Shine!" and just goes back to basics. He will need a lot of time to get over it and Sam will despair and fear that his brother is never going to be the same he way. Even more tragic is the fact that we all know Dean too good and we know he first won't show Sam how damaged he is.
Sam will have to break trough to him first and then the slow path of recovering will begin.
At least that's what I think.

hi - very interesting theories...thank you for compiling these! i'm of the opinion that dean's in purgatory but could be totally off base, and i haven't read any of the S4 spoilers to confirm one way or another. anyway, this is a great list - thanks again!
