Ah, the irony of your last post - from one of the least evil people I ever encountered. I don't follow any religion, but your belief was a beautiful example of how to follow your faith without alienating those who don't share it. In fact, your intelligent and considerate expression of faith made you the perfect ambassador for Christianity. In this and many other ways you really were a shining example to others.
The death of a person in the prime of their life is devastating for those left behind. But when one of those is a very young child deprived of their father it is unbearably sad.
This place is not going to seem right without you, Rit.
It was interesting how I noticed you being absent from LJ this past week. But I just thought you were just busy, maybe had to leave town suddenly and then the devestating news of your passing rippled through this place and on to other online communities you were apart of. To know that your wisdom, sense of humor and kindness are never to reach us in the present is such a sad thought. And yet at the same time everything you've left behind (the words you wrote, the pictures you took etc...) will stay with me (and I imagine many) and I shall cherish all of it. You were a good person that was taken way too soon.
I will hope that one day you and I will meet again on the next journey. Perhaps we can sit on white shores just for a little bit. *Hugs*
Kim and Caleb - He loved both of you so very, very much. I know he must be watching over both of you right now and will always do so. My prayers and thoughts are with both of you at this most tragic and sad time.
Rit, It is terribly sad that you had to leave this earth & all your friends & loved ones behind, but it seems that your presence was more urgently needed elsewhere. When the grey rain curtain is pulled back & you are called to the white shores beyond, then you just have to go....it was God's will. Know that you will be greatly missed, my friend & never forgotten. Namaarie
