YamaPi slumped into the couch inside their dressing room, tired after a gruelling series of magazine photoshoots. He closed his eyes, thinking
about the series of interview that he had to do in the evening as well. Ah, I need a rest. A serious one, he thought.
"Yamashita-kun!!"
YamaPi jumped from the couch on instinct as he heard that familiar voice. He scratched the back of his head ruefully at being disturbed on his
rest time. "Nani yo, Tegoshi?" he asked the boy on at the doorway.
Tegoshi smiled widely. "Yamashita-kun, I learned something today!"
The older boy smiled at Tegoshi's enthusiasm. "Oh?"
"Un!" Tegoshi nodded like a child. "It has been a tradition in the west for ages so I only get to know them now."
"A tradition? What tradition?" YamaPi asked, patting the unoccupied seat beside him for Tegoshi to sit on. Tegoshi giggled at this and sat
beside his sempai before placing his head adorably on YamaPi's shoulder.
"Mistletoe," Tegoshi whispered.
For the second time that day, YamaPi jumped from his seat after hearing Tegoshi's voice; this time though, it was because the other's
breath touched his right ear. He raised a brow skeptically as Tegoshi only laughed at his blushing face. Knowing that the younger man would
continue teasing him about it, YamaPi sat again and tried to act as if nothing happened. "What about the mistletoe?" he asked, urging the boy
to continue his story even if he already knew the 'mistletoe tradition'.
At this, Tegoshi stopped laughing and YamaPi's plan to divert the boy's attention from teasing him to telling tales succeeded. Tegoshi was
beaming as he narrates his tale about the mistletoe tradition to his sempai.YamaPi couldn't help but admire the glint of happiness and
enthusiasm in Tegoshi's eyes. He wondered if his negative thoughts about christmas would have been different if he had met Tegoshi earlier in
his life.
"Yamashita-kun,"
"Hn?"
Tegoshi's big, brown eyes stared into his as the boy went on saying, "Have you ever kissed someone under the mistletoe?"
YamaPi snorted. "No, that's silly."
"Why would it be silly?" Tegoshi asked, pouting.
"Because if you like someone, you'd have kissed them even without the mistletoe. It's just some silly tradition," YamaPi reasoned out.
"Ehh~~ Well I don't think it's silly."
YamaPi did an eye roll. "Traditions are boring." Pause. "Planning to kiss your lover under the mistletoe, Tegoshi?" he added teasingly.
"I DON'T HAVE A LOVER!" Tegoshi blurted out while blushing furiously. "But... I think it'll be great if I could kiss the person I like
under the mistletoe."
"Well, why don't you got to that person and do that, then?" YamaPi asked, trying to hide his disappointment at Tegoshi's words by turning his
gaze towards the window.
For some reason, Tegoshi did not say anything back to him. Confused, YamaPi turned to look at Tegoshi only to find him fidgeting in his seat
with a face as red as tomatoes. "What's wrong?"
"I can't," Tegoshi finally answered.
"You can't... What?" YamaPi asked again, his mind getting ahead of him by telling him what's coming and yet, not quite like it.
"I can't kiss that person under the mistletoe,"
"Why??"
"Becausehesaidit'ssillyandthattraditionsareboring!" Tegoshi said in a rush, his voice barely louder than that of a whisper. "That's why..."
YamaPi had to pause for a whole minute, his ears not quite getting what Tegoshi had just said. It seems as if his ears had malfunctioned and
his mind is still the process of sending those messages to his brain.
Tegoshi bit his bottom lip, "Yappari... I should've stayed quiet."
"Why would you?" YamaPi asked after finally getting his voice back.
"Eh?" Tegoshi raised his eyes to meet YamaPi's.
"Why would you stay quiet? Isn't it better to make everything clear?" YamaPi said noticing how Tegoshi blushed as he placed his hand on top of
the other's hand. He then added, "Is it true?"
"Na-nani?"
YamaPi let out a small smile. "That you can't kiss the person you like since he said 'it's silly and traditions are boring'?"
Tegoshi's eyes grew larger and his face even redder as YamaPi repeated his words earlier. "W-well, you said it yourself, didn't you?"
"What did I say?" YamaPi asked, frowning slightly as he feigned innocence.
"T-that you..." Tegoshi's words began to falter as his eyes grew round in realization after seeing the blank look on YamaPi's face. "Nothing,
forget it." Tegoshi finally said.
I didn't know he could be this dense, Tegoshi thought when he realized that YamaPi had thought that he likes another guy.
Suddenly, YamaPi's smile turned into a grin. "What if the guy you like said that he don't want to kiss you under the mistletoe but
instead, do something else underneath it, what would you do?"
"Do something else?" Tegoshi repeated with a confused look on his face.
YamaPi nodded in affirmation while Tegoshi's confusion only grew bigger. "Would you let him do it to you? Of course, I'm sure he'll never do
anything that'll hurt you..."
"Well," Tegoshi began. "If he wants it then it's fine. But still I want to know what that 'something else' is first... Yamashita-kun, why-"
Grinning, YamaPi stood and pushed the younger man lower on the couch before straddling him. It was all done in an instant and Tegoshi could only
gape at YamaPi as the older man started slipping his hand under Tegoshi's shirt. When YamaPi began rubbing his thumb agaisnt Tegoshi's left
nipple, the boy let out a long moan earning a light chuckle from YamaPi. "You're cute, Tegoshi."
"Urusai!" Tegoshi yelled, trying to look furious since he had been faked by YamaPi's 'innocence' awhile ago. He tried to curse the older man
again but YamaPi began rubbing his nipples again that the only word that was able to make it past his lips was, "Why...?"
YamaPi smiled and lifted Tegoshi's shirt to reveal his chest. "You said it, right? That I could do anything..."
Tegoshi blushed; his face was so red now as if all his blood had been transported there as YamaPi started nipping his collarbone. "I-I said it
... But underneath the mistletoe!!"
Without even looking up from what he was doing, YamaPi raised a hand and pointed at the corner of the ceiling that's partly concealed by other
christmas decorations-no doubt about it; a lone mistletoe hangs in that part of the ceiling. Tegoshi wondered for a moment how he had not
noticed that one before but quickly forgot about it as YamaPi began placing kisses on his chest.
"You said traditions are boring... Why is it...?" Tegoshi moaned and bit his lip as YamaPi placed a kiss just below his belly button.
"I did," YamaPi grinned. "That's why I'm breaking the tradition."
"Huh??"
YamaPi cupped Tegoshi's face in his palm and gently carressed it. "The tradition is to kiss under the mistletoe, right? Now I'm breaking it by
making love to you underneath the mistletoe..." YamaPi paused. "Now THAT, isn't boring, right?"
Tegoshi could feel the blush creeping up his face as YamaPi leaned in, placing a soft kiss on his lips. For a moment, Tegoshi forgot all that has
happened as his mind went blank. When YamaPi finally withdrew from the kiss due to lack of oxygen supply, he smiled softly and said, "Merry
christmas, Tegoshi."
Tegoshi smiled shyly as he replied, "Merry christmas to you too, Yamashita-ku-"
Mou... When will he-ummm-ever let me-ohh that's good-finish my sentence?, Tegoshi thought as YamaPi's tongue invaded his mouth in a sudden
kiss. Abandoning all rational thoughts, Tegoshi moaned as he opened his mouth wider and started to return YamaPi's kisses and carresses. He
whimpered in disagreement as he felt YamaPi pull himself from the kiss.
"Why did you stopped kissing me?" he asked, annoyed at being left high in the air.
YamaPi laughed at Tegoshi's annoyed look. "I told you already... I hate traditions. Now let's get down to business..."
Tegoshi's breath hitched as YamaPi suddenly palmed him through his pants. "W-what business?" he asked in a small voice, trying to stop the moan
that's threathening to escape his lips because of what YamaPi was doing to him.
"What else?" YamaPi raised his gaze to meet Tegoshi's. He grinned as he felt Tegoshi's arousal respond to his ministrations before he leaned in
saying, "Breaking the tradition, of course."
