Instead of going home early like he used to, Ryo hang around their dressing room after that day’s practice which surprised the other members and even some of the staff. When the other members started heading home and Ryo was still there, their amazement all turned into curiousity.

Finally, YamaPi asked him, “Why are you still here Ryo-chan?”

And then came the enigmatic answer. “I think I need some counseling.”

Ryo didn’t say anything more after this and YamaPi slowly shook his head in disbelief before he disappeared with Tegoshi on his heels. He couldn’t believe Ryo only realized that he badly needs a counseling.

When the room is finally empty except for Ryo and himself, Shige stood up and settled himself on the chair opposite Ryo before placing the paper he got from the older man earlier during practice in the table between them. “What’s this supposed to mean? What do you want to talk about, Nishikido-kun?”

Ryo sighed deeply. “Can you help me?”

Shige looked puzzled. “With what??”

”I need some counseling,” Ryo repeated. “You’re the only one who can help me.”

At this, Shige becomes even more confused. ”I’m not a psychiatrist nor am I aiming to be one, Nishikido-kun.”

”I know, I am not stupid.” The other retorted. “But only you can help me.”

Shige raised a brow at this and almost muttered, Is my intelligence that high that I could help straighten up a twisted mind like yours?, but thought better off it. “So what do you want me to do now?”

Ryo seemed to think of an answer at this. He looks so unsure of himself-so unlike Ryo-but Shige knew there must be something up this man’s sleeve.

”Just answer my questions,” Ryo finally said.

”Wait,” Shige quickly said. “Shouldn’t I be the one doing the questioning and not you? You’re the one to be ‘counseled’.”

Ryo shrugged carelessly. “This way’s better. Don’t worry, you will be counseling me like this.”

Shige resisted to roll his eyes at this and waited for Ryo’s questions. It was weird because Ryo kept on sking him basic questions in which he already knew what Shige’s answer would be. Things like name, age…and sexual preference. Things got weirder though when his questions became deeper, or rather, crazier.

”How do you know when you like a person more than just a friend?”

”Ehh? Anou… “ Shige could feel the weird sweat appearing. “I guess my heart beats faster when I’m with them.”

Ryo scoffed. “What an answer! Be sure of it next time.”

”Can you please sto-“

”Next,” Ryo interjected. “Have you ever felt that you like another man more then just friends?”

Shige could feel his cheeks getting warm at Ryo’s question. “HOW CAN THAT BE?!”

”That’s why I’m asking, idiot.” Ryo answered sarcastically. “Do you have a guy you like right now?”

Shige blushed. “None, of course!!”

”Ehh~ Boring.” Ryo said. “Well then, what would you do if a guy comes up to you and confesses?”

”Why are your questions like this in the first place?!?” Shige asked back.

”You haven’t answered my question,”

Shige sighed. “I don’t know… I’m also a guy after all. Two guys together… It would be weird, right?”

Because Shige was too absorbed with his thoughts about how he’ll feel in that situation, he never saw the emotions that crossed Ryo’s face that time. “So you’re saying no to this kind of relationships?”

Shige shook his head. “No. I… I really don’t know.”

Ryo let out a small smile at this before jumping from his seat. “Yosh, this counseling is finished!”

”Ehhh~ Wait, how can that be?” Shige asked. “What was your problem in the first place anyway?”

Ryo smiled. “I hate rejection so I just did a background check before anything else.”

”Wait, WHAT?!” Shige repeated, still confused of what Ryo’s talking about. “I can’t unde-“

”Well let’s just say… Be prepared for that confession.” Ryo said shortly with a smirk plastered on his face before leaving the still-confused Shige alone in their dressing room.

Little did Shige knew that he will be faced with another dilemma the next morning as he sees Ryo on his doorway carrying a bouquet and wearing a suit and a huge grin on his face.

And with that unmistakeable grin on his face, Ryo asked, ”Have you prepared yourself long enough, Shige?”
