LMAO AT FIRST I DIDN'T I REALLY REALLY DIDN'T but the more we were forced to delve into everything the book was and over-analysing it to death it just became so much more interesting. I mean, I don't think I'll ever read it again, but I'll always remember what it means and could probably talk literary bs about it until I'm 40.
You will love "Never Let Me Go", or want to throw it at a wall. Or both, just saying. Awesome writing, have always loved Kazuo Ishiguro, even with the wall-throwing. I've never made it through "Heart of Darkness", though perhaps I should give it another try! And I love Donne - so lush, so lovely: She's all states, and all princes I/Nothing else is.
HAHA Oh man, now I'm kind of worried because I HOPE I will love it but you never know. It sounds facinating though!
Oh Heart of Darkness. I powered through it in the same night I had to hand in the first draft-preview of my journal (we needed to have a min. of 3000 words) and I got SUCH a headache.
Donne is suuuper lovely! I think The Esctacy is probably my favourite, simply because my english teacher had waxed lyrical upon the lovely imagery and sentiment of the combining of two souls.
ikr!? all_creation makes the most gorgeous icons <3
ya, I know what you mean. I'd never do that to my own books, I hate it when I borrow books from the library and some pages are all dog earred DX
*shrugs* I haven't been doing much reading besides school work reading >_< Which is like listening to headphones playing nails on the chalkboard on repeat DDDDDX
XDD HAHA yeah. but, most people don't mind mistreating books so I've learned to live with it. WOULD BE NICE IF EVERYONE CARED ABOUT THEIR BOOKS ALWAYS.
Oh, I was always feeling sad for Elphie and how horrible the world it, but that also made me so much more ANGRY at how everyone else was such a JERK and EVIL and RAAAAAAAGE.
D: I don't have any classes up the mountain this term, but I could come visit?
