Dude, NO ONE MINDS IF SECONDARY ANONS TAKE A SHOT AT FILLED REQUESTS.

Who is going to throw a bitch fit if an anon takes a shot at an unfilled request?
Especially one that the other anonymous hasn't mentioned anything of in over a year. Which is a pretty good indication they've probably abandonned their claim(not that a claim means much of anything because it's not a race or a contest and as many anons can fill any request they want.)

Firstly, the request hasn't been filled yet. Secondly, I didn't know for sure if it'd been abandoned yet or if the OP was still interested in the prompt and thought it polite to ask. Thirdly, I was also asking a question about details of the fic, since OP's answer is going to have an impact on how long I'm going to make the fic.

If you have the free time to complain to me about it, I'm sure a lot of people would rather you spend that time filling prompts.

Rudeness was not intentional.

My point was 'why is someone going to mind if different/another anon fills something?'

Especially given anon who called dibs on writing it has been MIA for a year. Who is going to complain about two fills? Who is going to complain about someone getting their fill done when the previous person who said they would bailed?

Why do so many people ask the OP if 'it's okay for them to fill it' or 'do they mind another fill' or 'do they mind if someone other than the anon who called dibs but is very clearly not doing anything with it fill it instead'?

I didn't see how long it'd been since the first reply, especially since this is closer to the end of comment pages.

Again, I wasn't sure if the OP would want a certain detail, and while I can write it without that detail ('cause prompts really need to be filled), I'd much rather add it because I think it would make for a more cohesive fic.
