Riku didn’t know how to do it, but oh, he knew what he wanted done. He wanted his best friend dead and so he took the hooded figure’s gift.
It was only a moment after the darkness entered his heart that he was thrown back across the hallway, heavy gray chains latching onto his arms and twining themselves across his chest and between his legs. He fell forward, landing heavily on his knees.
His neck was exposed, and yet another chain flung itself across it, bending his back backwards but not letting him fall.
And then the figure, who must have become flesh in that moment, was walking towards him. The boots were heavy on the castle floor.
“What…?” Riku managed to get out. He tried to look up, but the chain bit into his neck.
