Riku was never really fond of fruit. Thinking back, he now regretted the decision to reform his ways with the apple the old woman had given him. She had been pretty damn suspicious, what with the black cloak and constant cackling.

And as he was beginning to turn blue, choking and desperately trying to dislodge the piece of apple stuck in his throat. He was so preoccupied, he barely noticed the man lurking behind him in the black cloak.

Hot yes, but why why why why why why is my mind picturing not one of the nobodies but Light Yagami from Death Note under that coat. 'It's the just as planned line' of doom. And Riku does need to learn who to accept fruit from, not the evil Witch from Snow white who has mysteriously allied herself with the nobodies?.

I think that was probably the intention on the 'just as planned'. Not that it's Light Yagami, but a reference to that meme at least.
