Anon knows that other!anon has dibs on this, but it's been awhile, so this anon went ahead and wrote this. Unfortunately, writer!anon needs a little work on her "mind games," she thinks, so apologies on that. Unless requester!anon meant like, memory or sudoku or something like that. In which case, writer!anon is perfectly willing to write another piece for that!It’s a dilapidated old church in the center of the island, approximately two and a half blocks away from the newer temple, which is that much closer to the beach. It’s still a perfectly fine building, really - at least, there’s no risk of the roof randomly falling down. “Roxas.” A statement, two parts dread to one part suspicion to three parts guilt; shaken, not stirred, and he might just get heady from how surreal this all is. Of course Riku’s dead would come to haunt him; it’s not like they could just stay dead for once. -Except his clone, who fought and fought and then, after the last battle, faded away in sparkles and darkness and never cam back, was never heard from again. “Riku,” Roxas states back, lips curling in a smirk, and Riku almost corrects himself. This isn’t Roxas, the kid from Twilight Town. This is XIII, member of Organization XIII, deadly and dangerous and completely pissed at Riku. For good reason, but that doesn’t change anything.

“What do you want?” Riku asks, warily, fingers twitching to summon Way to the Dawn. He won’t, because he knows that when he does, Roxas will call Oathkeeper and Oblivion and will probably kick his ass, but gee, Riku wants to. He wants the security it gives him, the

Roxas shrugs. “Was I one of them?”

Riku studies him carefully, trying to gauge what answer would be best. After a long pause, he nods, just slightly, before sitting up. Just in case.

Roxas sighs and looks away again. “I thought so,” he mutters, just loud enough for Riku to hear.

“Why?” It’s Riku’s turn to ask, and he frowns at Roxas.

The smirk that Roxas turns on him then isn’t exactly friendly, but it’s not threatening either.

“You’re far too predictable, Riku.”

Riku snorts, pulling himself to his feet. “Sure. Whatever.”

Roxas rolls his eyes. “I hope you don’t plan on leaving.”

“Why not?” Riku glares at him.

“I’ll just stop you again.”

Roxas doesn’t elaborate, but he doesn’t need to. Riku doesn’t quite understand, doesn’t quite grasp at what that is - a life? friends? a job? a best friend? a long black coat? - and they both know it, but apparently Roxas is willing to settle for something of equal value.

Riku doesn’t exactly protest when Roxas slides a hand up his shirt, or when the Nobody’s lips are suddenly right next to his ear, breath hot on his neck. Riku just nods absently and lets Roxas pull him up, forward, towards the front of the church.

He protests when Roxas pushes him against the altar, both of their shirts long since gone. Screwing - he assumes that’s what Roxas is getting at - in a church is one thing. Still forbidden, but somewhat more arousing because of that. Sex on the fucking altar is pushing it a little too much for him

That aside, anon officially came. Church!sex makes the (former) Catholic in me just writhe with horrified glee.

I kinda like Roxas as an angry little bastard. He does it lots in the game, after all. And then you got the scared kid that he also is in there too. Wonderful.
