A question for scanlation fans

Sep 28, 2013 09:21

Hey all. Does any of you know whether the following works are currently being scanlated? Baka Updates says no, but many groups are now flying under the radar, so I'm not sure that's definitive.

Otoko Mekake by Mizukami Shin
Aishikata no Rule by Takaido Akemi

I'm especially wondering about the Mizukami Shin one.

Thanks in advance!

I'm fairly confident both those titles are not scanlated. The Muzukami one is surprising, seeing as she has a fairly strong scanlation following.

Thank you! :) I ordered them from e-bay. Pretty soon I'll start asking if anyone wants to scan them.

Actually, Otoko Mekake was done by one of the "underground" groups, but was so supersecret that it never got to BU... I don´t remember seeing the Takaido Akemi one.

Thanks for the info! It's definitely supersecret to me. I'll have to decide whether I want to go to the effort of rescanlating something that's already been done...I haven't read it, but it might still feel futile...:p I do love Takaido Akemi though.

Well, it´s up to you, but since it was so exclusive it got to only a limited number of readers. I´m sure other people will be interested in it too.

Thanks for sharing your opinon!I really would love to do it, and I've never translated Mizukami Shin before. I don't know if she's hard or easy. And I think it would be fun to discover one of hers slowly...it's such a different experience.

She was probably the first mangaka I loved.

Darling, I had NO idea you had a thing for Mizukami-sensei because I have a MAJOR thing for her and her super sexy lusty stories, haha.

Go for it!! Whatever you want bb! I'm just gonna ride the wave very very happily.

Hee hee! Just another thing to like about you! MWA!!! The way she draws men, especially ukes, is intoxicating! Plus the forbidden material...wow!

The first time sensei stole my soul is Aigan Shounen. I was so shocked but intrigued by the darkness and the contrast of her art that she drew me in(to her vortex of eroticism).

I adore that her ukes are so insanely erotic and the sexual tension in her works deserves an award, ah! And since you mentioned one of my favoritest of sensei's stories (which also incidentally happens to be one of my favorites "Silently, Give Yourself to Me"), I just love you all the more for it!!

*goes off to reread*

You're kidding! Oh I'm so excited and squealy inside that you love my favorite story! EEKS!!!

Aigan Shounen is indeed very dark, the darkest of hers that I've read. I do love a mangaka who can go to those places. It assures me that she's pushing boundaries and trying to produce her best work, at least I think so. Or maybe I just have a thing for ...what's the word for it? I can't think of it, but it means violating boundaries...sort of like iconoclasm, but slightly different. So useful, I know LOL

Hey is that icon Kiichi from Love Mode? I'm sure I've asked you this before.
