Awww thanks! That's really encouraging! You're saying "It looks dark from over there, but there really is something to be happy about." Thanks so much. And I love your ducklings! So cute!
You know, it's very interesting that you view hanging on by my fingernails as a positive. It shows how insidious negative thinking is in my own mind. Thanks for the reminder that there are little unseen gifts everywhere.
"Tally Ho" is not a Buddhist term. I was employing my rapier-like wit there :p
Lol! Rapier-like wit! And I was employing my Jim Carrey-like knowledgeable or perhaps denseness?
You're right--fingernail hanging on can be negative or positive, so why not view it as positive! Little gifts! Reminds me of this song for some reason:
Hello! Oh... I'm really sorry to read this. I can't say that I understand how you feeling, I don't even have a boyfriend right now (sweat), but I can say that I support you and I'll be cheering for you. Sometimes I read the things you write about your daughter and I'm glad she had someone to count on and talk to. My mother and I, well, we talked, but nothing too deep, you know? And it seems a lie, but whenever I'm about to explode, either by something that happened, or something that someone said to me, your post pop up and after read I feel calmer. So thank you. XDDDD **huuugs**
Awww it's so nice to think that I help you! *hug* That makes me feel so good! And thank you for your kind commiseration. And if there's anything I'll allow myself to be a little proud of, it's raising my kids. Well, that's the best thing to be good at. Helping another human being to a happy, meaningful life is really something to cherish :)
So glad to see you can be pragmatic in this highly charged time. It will definitely help you thru this challenge. Change is a way to revitalize your life. I've found myself in a corner thanks to decades of telling myself what I CAN'T do. Now looking into going back to college for something I have 0 talent in, but will give me a career and a way to send my son to college when the time comes. I'm broke and a single mom. Scared/excited/want to pull the covers over my head. Seeing you move forward is very comforting and inspiring:)

What does Tally Ho mean as a technical Buddhist term? And beach visits!!! Gosh, I love you. Be my mom now, m'kay?
I admire and am inspired and comforted by your "hanging on to positive change by the very tippy tips of my bitten off fingernails."

Absolutely try to avoid telling yourself what you can't do. I fall into that trap too--that's what negativity is all about. It's no good for us!
I applaud your goals. I wish you the best in your education and improving your life!
