Random Downloads

Something is occurring at my Mediafire that I dislike. Files are being downloaded that I didn't specifically link to in my posts. If any of my LJ friends are doing this, I ask you to stop. Not everything on my Mediafire space is there for sharing. If I have to, I'll get more stringent about how I use it, but I'd prefer to be able to trust you all ( Read more... )

It seems that way! Because things that should have been DLd only once (by me) were DLd 4 or 6 times. :(

I've been watching it for a while. I didn't say anything until someone downloaded a work that I'm editing for a friend which she is going to publish. There's all kinds of issues with that, in terms of her right to protect her work. I guess it's my fault, which doesn't make me happy either.

Wow, people sure can be rude, huh? I'm appalled that's even possible :( I hope whoever's doing this will stop now that you've called them out.

Thank you, dear. I accept that it was done out of innocent curiosity, but it feels intrusive.

I generally believe in the goodness of people, but with the Internet, the degree of anonymity seems to embolden people to do things they wouldn't do if they had to face the person they were doing it to.

Whoa? That scary, maybe setting up new account? Mediafire used to have pasword set up option, but now its only available for payed account, does your account the payed one?
