You read the sixth Harry Potter book 5 times?? Sweet jesus Jodes.
I think you'd like Summer in the City by Robyn Sisman. It's a really good trash novel to read if you feel like you're going to murder someone if you read another English lit/history textbook. I just started Hadrian's Wall by William Dietrich (another piece of crap book), but it's really good so far. You might like that one too. Maybe I'll borrow Lucky Jim from you when you're done with it, since you made it sound so funny.

will add it to my "must read" list which at the moment is:
1. The Birth of Venus
2. The Alchemist
3. The Devil Wears Prada :)!
4. The next Lemony Snickett book that I cant remember the title of...
and now 5. Summer in the City and 6. Hadrian's Wall
ooh ooh! and that one about the lamb and the wicked witch!

Cool... I have not read many of those, only 23 and 31. HP6 is FANTASTIC, as you obviously know, and Life of Pi took me forever to get into, but when it was over I felt it was good. It was just so long, and rather tedious. Did you know it's being made into a movie? I think I heard M. Night Shyamalan is doing the film, so it will hopefully be good.

the ending of life of pi had me floored! i think it would be awesome as a movie! but yea - i highly recommened any of the others - some of them were lent to be me by a co-worker and she was studying child abuse so there were about 4 that were stories involving that and they made me cry! real eye-openers! however they might not really be to everyone's taste for some light reading!

you HAVE to read Hitchhikers and the 3 others there in the series! sooooooo goood!
