What I've been reading - or in my case - listening to...

I've never listened to many e-books ... only two or three that I can recall. I spent 4-5 months circumnavigating the lower 48 United States once and prepared beforehand by making many CDs, but most were music. But I did listen to a bit of Asimov's Foundation series - not a reading of the book, but an audio play - and also a set of physics lectures.

But the audio series I've always loved, having heard it back in the early eighties, and then again on my trip, was the BBC radio play adaption of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". Twelve half-hour episodes if I recall correctly. Maybe I only still like it because Douglas Adams's (or is it just "Adams'"?) appealed more to my university-level humour back then, but it's still a riot in my eyes (or ears). If you like his books (the novelty of his humour wears off after a while, I'll agree) you might want to give it a go.
