I absolutely love it when Alfred is going against the norm for the sake of a) his morals, b) Arthur. I love seeing him be that kind of hero - wanting to change a stereotype, or fight a tradition he doesn't think is right, etc. And when the focus of all his efforts is Arthur it'sjust so romantic!
For omegaverse sex it was incredibly emotional! Usually omegaverse smut is very animal - pure smut, really. But you amanged to get a great mix of both emotion /and/ instinct in there. Yes, they had their natural urges, but Alfred was also treating it like having sex with a person, not just mating with an omega. Again, very sweet to see Alfred behaving like that.
Can't wait for part 2!!

Yes! That was totally the point of this story! To show the love Al would have for his mate, especially that of Artie, his Queen! There'll be more romance in the next bit (and still some smexy times), so I hope I don't disappoint! :D

I don't mind UKUS, but I can see where one might want to spice it up some. They are out there (check out Zo One), but it seems I'm one of the few to make it cardverse too.

I'm utterly thrilled that you combined Omegaverse and Cardverse together! I love that Alfred went against the stereotypical nature of the Alpha and wanted to treat Arthur like an equal lover. I love that you show Arthur as having his own mind, strength and demanding his own needs, even in heat too! I can't wait for the next chapter! :D
