Oh gosh, thank you so much! I've REALLY taken quite an undertaking with this story. This time period my guilty pleasure of constant research, so I really wanted to keep things as close to how it really was as possible.

Originally, this chapter was to be in, but I really struggled with considering taking it out to spare my readers. But this stuff happened VERY OFTEN in history. You can hardly find a person of interest in history that didn't have either a cheating partner or (for women) didn't have a miscarriage. It was just of the times. So I felt taking it out would really be a disservice to what I'm truly aiming at here.

I'm enjoying Alfred's character development in this story. Besides just getting older, he's getting more mature. I enjoy that he's now thinking of his own dreams, which is pretty brave in his situation
