has anyone seen this scene? -- something about it being the last scene in a memorial box set: (link to amazon listing) -- a happy ending, so much better than the abomination of 'seisouhen'.

OMG YAY!!!! I'm going to have to get my hands on that boxed set just to see the whole ending thing. And there's Kenji!

Thank you SO much for sharing this. I was beginning to get disconcerted that we were never see the happy ending animated, especially since it looks like both the new animated OVAs and live action move are going to cover the Kyoto arc. It may not be Jinchuu like I was hoping, but at least it's something.

thank you, i was looking for the kaoru/kamatari fight on youtube but got lost in a tangent and found this, it was a good find.

i don't know how much more is in the boxed set, there wasn't a list on the amazon page but it looked like a wooden box with a twenty one disc set, two books and a miniature sakabatou... for $900 used. maybe it will go down in price.

they've cast all of the tokyo main characters for the movie and three of the antagonists:
