Someone (i don't know if they are a Slayers fan or not) on DA seems to be convinced that Lina, Naga, and Missus Seyruun (aka Amelia's and Naga's mom) are evil or hold some degree of evilness

I would say just ignore the person for now. It could be the person is just trying to cause trouble, just for the shake of causing. So, if you keep trying to argue with him/her, the person will just keep arguing back. However, I would imagine that if you don't reply to the person anymore, he/she would just give up eventually. But, if he/she does keep hassling you, you can always report the person to DA.
It does seem that way since he/she loves to use the word evil, a lot. O_O Thank you! I think I'll do just that (in hindsight, I probably should have ignored a comment like that in the first place.) Hopefully it won't have to resort to a report but I'll also keep that close in mind.
Sounds like the person had a run in with fanon and confused it for canon. I've never heard anything about Phil's wife being 'evil'. Why on earth would Phil ever have married her if she was? (I seem to recall some blurb about the battle bikini being underwear and not to be worn as Naga is choosing to wear it.)
They're completely failing to understand who Naga really is and why she would even try to give off the impression she's an 'evil' sorceress. If you were the heir to Saillune's throne but traveling about incognito, wouldn't you want to do everything in your power to fool people about your true identity? The laugh is supposedly courtesy of Naga trying to mask grieving the loss of her mother, which might explain why it sounds so...odd.
In any case, your last comment was a good one. If they reply trying to keep things going, just ignore them.
His/her excuse was "Anyway, the word in the fandom I heard is Phil had her reformed, somehow, before they married" and it's not very convincing. A friend had told me that it's likely this "word in the fandom" is fanfiction, which also goes back to what you said as well. I had interpreted it as some kind of fan discussion but now i just wished s/he just said fanfiction.
Hmmmm, that is an excellent point. maybe I should also include what you've just said? It might convince him/her but I am starting to doubt that.
thanks! and hopefully ignoring them would be the most i would have to do. >_
It's really sad that some people think that what they read in fanfiction is truthful. Sometimes it is, but usually people just make up whatever they want to. Ugh, And then you get people like this commenter.
If you want to use what I said, go for it. Then again, ignoring might truly be the best option here.
Ugh, indeed. They seem and sound like a know-it-all too.
Well, I'm happy to let you know that the matter has been dropped. I'm probably a bit miffed that I might have been baited into debating with him/her. Hopefully it won't happen again.
*facepalm* I just don't understand those type of people. While I'm sure being male should not have anything to do with it, I guess they tend to be a bit more stubborn and narrow-minded. Why would someone get pissed off to being offered access to more (and reliable) information? That's lacking some courtesy. damn. that i have yet to see but I would hate to encounter.
yeah, as far as I know, I'm done with him. hopefully he won't bother Dulcis-absinthe so much either.
