Your theory, t'is most valid. In my case, I'm probably better off with him buggering off but that doesn't alter the fact that it's violating a major rule of Being a Decent Father: the Basics. Still, there's a strangely large number of us in the same boat and yet despite everything it's a boat full of AWESOME company.

I'm sorry to hear about the crud you've been going through - I'm another addition to the Crap Dads club (mine's never surfaced ever), it's terrible that the people who cause the most hurt tend to be your own flesh and blood. *hugs* You don't need that.
And even if he did try and get the Police onto your Mam, they'd most likely just tell him it's a civil matter and to go through the small claims court.[/Perdy'sFlakyLawKnowledge]

Thanks m'dear <3 As I said above, tthe club at least has the best people in it! You can't choose your family, but you CAN choose your friends and luckily they're awesome!

Flaky or not, your Law Knowledge has a pointy point. He always has to make a big noise about everything, so naturally he mentioned the police. Even though he used to *be* a policeman and should full well they don't deal with crap like that. Although I don't think she has too much to worry about because when it boils down to it... he's an idiot.

And yes, there will be much nicer stuff to post about!
