Once upon a time--
Once upon a time--
Once upon a time there was a girl and an entire world made just for her. There were skyscrapers and big cities, fields of lush green grass, suburbs, telephone poles, loft apartments, stages, swimming pools, runways and everything that she fancied.
There were amazing performances; each of which she was cast in, each of which had songs and dances and light shows that blew away the imagination with illuminated streams of colors that had no names. There was high fashion; bejeweled outfits and long dresses, purses and shoes, hats and skirts, the most insane and wild desgns that no one ever approved except for her.
There were festivals with intricately designed decorations; lanterns and loud music keeping the world alive. There were lazy summers by a lake and at a beach, where friends wasted away and drowned themselves in fond memories and sounds of laughter that lasted forever.
There was sky and clouds; flying machines that sent her whizzing through the air high above the cities and plains and suburbs, where she could cry and laugh and sing and spread her arms out to feel completely free.
There was a boy and a brilliant smile. There were arms made just for her and a welcoming embrace that she'd never let go of.
There was a dream that she so desperately reached out for--a nightmare that she wanted to return to time and time again.
There was morning, and when she awoke, she could only hope to return to her world of dreams and hopes.
