Writer's Block: Dream On

 I have this recurring dream of an attic with this secret passage in it. The hall leading up to it splits off to a huge attic. But recently its been decaying, becoming more broken and rotten.... The floors have fallen out ,but the attic has become larger...

That's a scary symbolism: a broken, bigger world. An attic = the past?
