And now in local news

I got poked by a friend's post, since this is International Blog Against Racism Week. And, like her, I'm not going to do a typical thing. Instead, I'm going to tell you a story. I'm also going to break my policy of F-locking posts ( Read more... )

a few years ago a family from my town who where originaly from afganistan had to take refuge in a mosqu (sp?) when they wher about to be deported, there youngest, who was about 8, was born here.
the police actulally raided the mosqu and sent them to prison and then they were chucked out the country, last i heard they where in a refugee camp in germany and the mother was having a nervous break down!
it's crazy, these were a perfecty nice, hard working family that did no one any harm. and there are very loud fundermentalists causing all kind of grief that the autorities turn a blind eye to.
I don't understand the imagration policeies at all!

It doesn't make much sense, trouble makers can stay while good people - good families - can't. It's...well, crazy making.

Sorry, this is not a comment but a message to Lady_Erin. I come so seldom to LJ that I don't know how to write you directly, Lady_Erin. And I can't find the thread (it was one of Minisinoo's) where we had a conversation.

Last year you were kind enough to send me the link to the PDF files that you had made of Min's works. Now I can't find that link any more, and the files themselves won't open for me. Would you be kind enough to e-mail me that link again, at Kisminette @ yahoo. com? Thank you so very much.

Fleur

Sure. Let me find the link again, it should still be active. Let me know if it works. (They are all PDF's so you'll need a PDF reader.)

And just call me Komix. ;)
