Cut practice.

Jul 07, 2008 23:53

This is simply a fluffy-ass poem that I'm using for cut practice.

In the night, the house makes noise.

Do you hear?

The creak.

The thump.

A muffled voice breaks the stillness.

Familiar

Comfortable.

The shuffle of feet on carpet.

The click of a door.

Silence.

The house settles.

The wind blows.

The toilet flushes.

You smile.

Familiar.

Comfortable.

Click.

Shuffle.

Mutter.

The blankets rustle.

A warm body presses.

A soft kiss is left.

Steady breaths.

Do you hear?

In the night, Life makes noise.

Now we'll see if this works.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

“If you need me right away, leave a better message, you idiot! ‘I might need you. They’re coming to take me away, ha ha’ is not all that helpful!”
