Cosplay Screw-ups For the Fail...

No don't worry, nothing too bad has gone wrong. My big success of yesterday was getting my Kanon armwarmer done sans eyelets and lacing,only to realize today that I did it backwards.... the side I sewed up is the side that should have been left open for lacing, but the way I've done it at the moment it'd be easier to just redo the whole thing than ( Read more... )

Oh noes! Sorry to hear about the arm warmer. I've been seeing your preview pics and it is coming along nicely. You'll look fabulous in your KanonXKanon cosplay.

And you've gotten a lot done - more than I've been able to accomplish toward any cosplay attempts in the last 2 years.

ha ha, well it's been kinda hard because it's been over 2 years since I've sat down behind the sewing machine to do anything cosplay related. After not having done anything for 2 years and hand drafting and pulling all of this out of my ass, I feel really good about it. Akon while it should be a premiere con is ending up more the rest run con for it and I guess Afest will be the one where it looks exceptional...
On continued progress last night i got a hakama cut out and stitched up the crotch seam and then on the other costume cut the fingers off some gloves...I think so long as I can get in a solid 2 hours of work each week night and full length days on this next weekend I might even have enough time to fix a couple things I'm a bit dissatisfied with...
