And it's been vetoed. A friend pointed out a big flaw in the legislation that may have been part of the reason for the veto:
"No one has been sued yet for an ethical stand. Religious stands have been. So if the wording were moral instead, it would be supported? Maybe someone should say that instead of all the hate projection."
Thank goodness. I hope all of the legislators that voted for it will find their re-election prospects gone, too.
I suspect the real reason it was vetoed was that the NFL was hinting at the possibility of Arizona losing their ability to host the Superbowl over it. I'm not a big fan of the NFL, but it was good to see them doing something positive.
