Wake Up With A Bang

It started like any typical night. I quietly whine and moan that my internet is out and that, apparently, cable was out too - the whine and moan were the typical parts. Lacking sleep or want to play Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Darkness again (I lack Explorers in the Sky and, yes, I want it), I dig around for a Playstation 2 game to play instead. It ( Read more... )

That we know of, anyway. There's so much fire that a thorough investigation has been a bitch and a half to even get done.

Not in our area. We're fine so long as the wind doesn't blow our way and the smoke stays high up. Should that happen, though, we have to get out of here.

As of yesterday evening it can finally be said the fire is out. While there's still no word on what caused it and the fear of acid rain could still happen, we're for the most part fine again.

Also on the graphic novel thing...I am taking that as a compliment o_o

I've been curious about this story, but it hasn't got as much attention in the media here as if this had happened in the continental US.

I'm glad you're okay, just be sure to avoid the acid rain if it comes. Doesn't sound like a very hospitable concept.

In an act of irony, I read this the same day that I wake up to thundering (yes actual thunder this time, not an explosion I thought was thunder). No rain as of yet but, yes, that's a worry.
