I'm not sure you understood my thing about black s(maybe you did and I just misread your part). The arguments that African American leaders are using are "We are too dumb to do that." I find that insulting, and it needs to change.

The "global warming epidemic" is not a lie. Emphasis needs to be placed on "global" here because globally-averaged temperature trends are used to justify global warming. They even have a response on this particular Michael Crichton book ( ... )

I'm sorry to hear that you were fed doomsday scenarios in your youth, but have you heard any lately? I myself haven't heard about any 100-year predictions for quite some time. That may be a sign that communication with the public has improved. Also, the questions have largely shifted from forecasted results in a length of time to what happens if the concentration of constituent X is doubled in the atmosphere or ocean. That way, we get a feel for the sensitivity of the climate system without making bold claims on when it will happen ( ... )

I've just posted a piece clarifying some matters I wrote previously about in the cs_lewis forum in which you were a participant. I address some viewpoints many members have voiced in this discussion, and am inviting all participants to lend their further consideration on this point of clarification.

Thanks. =]
