Brutal Honesty

I have made what could be one of the most important decisions in my life. I have decided to pursue my Ph.D. in English and throw all my other plans out the window. Some people probably are not shocked by this development. I am a little shocked at myself for finally admitting what I really want. Congrats on deciding about grad school! Isn't it a scary thing to think how the decisions we make now affect the rest of our lives?

That really sucks that you didn't find what you wanted in JVC, but at least you now know what you really want to do for your life. While a PhD in lit. might not seem like the most 'stable' thing ever, just remember that it's always better to being what you love and a bit poor than rich in a job you despise. That and there'll always be a call for professors, at the very least, and that pays pretty decently. ^_~
