AWA 2009 Post-Con Report

So after a ton of changes in plan, Hana ended up getting the flu and could not make the trip, meaning I ended up having to drive the entire way alone T_T BUT... Lulu ended up somehow convincing his moment to let him go, so it ended up with the original scenario of me, Lulu, and Tony. I ended up picking up Louis around 2pm at his place. Met his family and all @_@;;; then off to pick up Tony. We ended up not leaving Charlotte until around 5-ish but we still made pretty good time into Atlanta despite the horrible weather. The 7 hour trip to Charlotte was a lot more bearable than the 4 hours to Atlanta. But that's because I wanna get there and play Pump ^^;;; such a dork. So with the heavy downpour, time was just ticking away. At least Tony and I wanted to play really darn bad and knew D&B closes at 11pm. We get to the hotel a bit shy of 10pm and rushed back out to go play. So... we thought we would be playing on a NX machine but once we saw it was NXA, we both freaked out like crazy. I'm sure that was a sight XD but I was genuinely crazy happy. D&B finally closed at around midnight and we headed back to the hotel. Louis ended up doing the Abracadabra dance anyway which was mad hilarious. After a little bit, we ended up going to bed. ...well sorta... >_>;;

Friday... registration... their registration was like non-existent. I like that. Reminds me of Otakon with the whole VAMPS ticket holder thing XD!!! I ended up meeting up with Alan, Garret, and Gelly there. Lulu was cosplaying and so he was all over the convention that day. Tony and I spent the majority of our day walking around and playing video games in the gameroom. One thing that irked me was that some of the IIDX players would not stop playing even though others want to play -_- If you're playing on Another, do you REALLY need to STILL play at a darn convention gameroom? Seriously... -_- let others play. But after spending some time in the gameroom for a while, Tony ran into some bboys and they were doing their thing for the rest of the night. I love how people stand right in front of me like I'm not even there -_- Even if I wanted to take a picture or take some video, it was literally impossible, so I just gave up. It was hard enough just seeing between people's arms >_<

Most of Saturday was spent with the TN group or with Brittany. I didn't want to hold Tony back from spending time with his new friends so he and Lulu did their own thing for the day. Pretty much spent the day just walking around Artist Alley and the Dealers Room. Bought a couple of Tokidoki hoodies, a Lelouch toy for Lulu, and bought these two keychain/charm pics of Ruki and Uruha from this girl XD It's soooo hard to find any jrock stuff in artist alley so I freaked out when I saw the Uruha one XD Too bad she didn't have the whole Gazette. But at the end of the day, I met back up with Tony and we tried to watch the parapara exhibition but that got shut down by the convention staff pretty quick -_- went back to the room and got changed for the dance. AWA actually let the bboys do a whole bunch of stuff like have a battle on stage and all so I really ended up dancing with this girl DeAnna that I met for the entire night since Tony was off doing his bboy stuff and Lulu was busy with his girl. The music really wasn't that good. Was a pretty disappointing night for me.

Sunday... Lulu was up but I woke up at 12:43 and freaked the heck out because checkout was at 11 >_< so we ended up packing and finally leaving the hotel around 2pm. Roamed around ATL for a bit with the TN people and then had a nice dinner at Nakato before leaving. The drive back to Charlotte was pretty crappy because of the weather. I ended up just staying a night in Charlotte since I really didn't have enough energy to drive another 7 hours in the pouring rain. I felt bad... I passed the heck out pretty quickly that night >_< I planned to leave around 3pm Monday but just couldn't get myself to do it. Tony and I ended up spending the entire afternoon at the mall playing Pump and DDR and just walking around enjoying each other's company. A part of me really wanted to spend another day there but I knew that I really shouldn't. It was just so incredibly hard to say goodbye. Waking up in my own bed and all alone the next morning felt really weird...

I know... I know you guys... you don't want to know more about the con, but more of what I'm thinking and feeling for him. All I'm going to say is this weekend was incredible because of him. He made me feel so loved. No matter how I feel and what I want, everything is in his hands right now. All I can do is just sit and wait.
