Today in my Creative Writing class, my professor cited the story "Gooseberries" by Anton Chekhov as a prime example of a story that uses a "frame" style story-line.

Later, in Russian Literature, my other professor used "Gooseberries" to further elaborate on what a "frame" style story-line is all about.
