It's official: I am cast in my first real operatic role. I am a little stressed about it, what with the recital coming up in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS, but excited, too. I am playing Second Lady in "Die Zauberflote" with Opera of the Foothills, the same group with which I played the Fairy Godmother in "The Cinderella Stories." So, obviously it isn't

The opera is the first two weekends in July...I am not clear on the exact days, but I know that much. :-D

congratulations! that is a big deal. the second lady is a big boost to the resume, most definitely. i am so proud of you! i hope you have lots of fun, too. how can you not? that's a fun role! right? (i don't really know. i'm just pretending to be part of the opera world)
