She finished her mini-memorization of the bedroom, smiling as she watched the big white ball of fluff get comfortable, and then looked to Zaku, snickering from her own realization that he mentioned studying before she did, which had prevented the question she had about where he used to live bury itself down into the folds of her brain as she walked over and sat down on the bed next to him, "Well, what do you think you'd need to go over first? Want to work out some Calculus problems? Or perhaps something else?" Maybe Anatomy, she joked to herself, but her smile disappeared when she realized where that train of thought led. She laid herself back onto the bed, feeling the cushions form to her as she looked up and over to Zaku, "Pick your poison ( ... )

Really like a guy who can create good art??? Damn Sai... "Y-You do...?" Zaku was glad she liked his nature water colors, but he couldn't help but think about Sai now. He clenched his fist slightly, deciding now was a good time to impress her further, to outdo Sai on every possible level and now especially art. "I'm glad you like them... and yeah, I don't like drawing people so I never need models. It's too much trouble to ask anyone if they want to model anyways..." He glanced around the room a little. "That Fujiyama charcoal on the wall over there is mine, too, and so is the tiger below it!!" Those were his favorite two, since they were large and he put more time into them than the others. "Sai is good at drawing, but it's a completely different style. His is lazy and slops his together while I put in a lot of time, effort and blood into each one." He found himself rambling and caught himself, thinking it wasn't helping any. Pausing, he glanced over to see how Karin would react, turning a bit red in the face since no one outside his ( ... )

Zaku forgot about the ranting when she said she loved his art... and that mellowed him out a little, and he sighed, unable to find the right words for a response. "Thanks, I think..." Not a great reply. "...If you want some of those, you can have them. There's too many for me to know what to do with..." He glanced around the room, implying all the other papers lying around. "Just put the others back on the desk when you're done..." Zaku walked over to his stereo and found some music to play to cool his nerves a little. Some of the softer stuff was on top of his CD player, so he popped a few of those in since he didn't feel like digging for anything. Once it was on, but not terribly loudly, he returned to the side of the bed past Karin and sat down, opening the calculus book to the page he had marked with his assignment, and started looking through his notes quietly ( ... )

Zaku woke up a little from his moment of just spacing out, realizing he hadn't even bothered to actually look through his notes. "Umm... the assignment that was due today... I'm really stuck." He frantically found the appropriate page and found his assignment. There wasn't much progress done on it... but at least he had his name written on it and numbered a '1' for the first question. However, that was all that was there... Thinking Karin had noticed, he said "Yeah... I didn't get this chapter at all..." he sighed ( ... )

Out of nowhere, Zaku's cat jumped up onto the bed and right onto his chest while his eyes were closed, so he got up with a start from the sudden weight on top of him. The cat just fell into his lap when he sat up and he glared at it. "You know, you're more trouble than you're worth sometimes?" He shooed the cat off so he could lie back down again, and thought about what Karin had just said, and understood what she meant. "Oh and it gives you an excuse to sit right next to me!" He laughed, holding his hand up in a 'matter-of-fact' kind of way. "Math can't be that bad in that case ( ... )
