Y'know, I like all the bots. But the second they're femmes? I suddenly turn into a total creep and hnnnnngh, somanypretties.

I love sassy Ratchet, mech or femme, and there's actually a reason why he can get away with so much back-talk. He's the chief medic and a commanding officer in an anctive war time area who doesn't listen to thei CMO tends to end up dead or with a unit that's comepletely torn apart from bad decisions. (If said CMO is competent.)

I've got a similar problem when it comes to genderbending. Maybe it's because when you take all the traits and personalities of a character and put them in a female body, you tend to get one awesomely written female character. And there's such a sad lack of them in mainstream media... Besides that, genderbending is just fun! XD

It totally makes sense for Ratchet to be insubordinate when the time calls for it! Especially towards Optimus Prime, who, let's be honest, tends to be a bit... shall we say, reckless with his own well-being. Ratchet don't put up with no sass in his repair bay, no sir.
