Two or three years ago now, I completed writing and editing my first short film, a 15 minute documentary on the Brazilian martial art of capoeira and its relationship to the social struggle of African descendants there. The story was told through a mestre (master/teacher) who teaches poor Afro-Brazilian children in his home for free

Monument, is - for me - utterly tied to your video. The song is on a number of my playlists, and every time I hear it I see images from your video. And every time the song starts, I wait in anticipation for the group chanting to begin. "Who's streets? OUR streets!"
Every time I don't hear it, I get a little sinking feeling. A void.

So glad you reposted it so I have easy access again (already bookmarked)! This is the way I like to hear it.
