Sometimes I wonder why people make trouble.

I saw the photograph on Tyler's livejournal and I wonder...why the hell do either parties bother?  Why do Christian organizations have protests like that when they know it will do nothing?  And why do other people answer them in kind with 'intolerance is wrong!' and such as that when they too know it will
