i agree that things have gotten heated lately, and I will try my best to keep my politics to myself_ my blog and my car. i avoid political confrontation within the house as much as possible, if i wanted to argue this crap at home, I'd move back in with my parents.
keegs explicit campaigning even bugged me today when we were on line at Publix, i agree with his cause, but not always his exposition.
and thats why my Kerry placard is on a neutral wall in my room, and not on the front window!
Hey guys, I know how you feel. We're all brothers and it looks like we're trying to practice a form of "charity" (some our trying to change what they think as faults) instead of respecting each others esteem. I agree with Koob on how he feels when people shove things down others throats. I don't mind what anyone believes, but the second you try to force something down my throat or trying to insult my esteem, I'll come down on whoever like a Florida Severe Thunderstorm. Other than that, everyone is definitely cool in my book :).
I hate the ideology of modern-day American politics.anan_abOctober 1 2004, 19:32:27 UTC
I agree. I hate seeing those signs and stickers everywhere... Although, in our culture, voters don't necessarily vote based on the issues. They vote with familiarity and comfort and often simply along party lines. Signs, posters, stickers, and advertisements increase familiarity with the names of candidates and because of our nation's general apathy and selective ignorance, that familiarity can win someone's vote... and an entire election.
