The first great battle, of the first great war…

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Dude---here's a suggestion for Friday night. If you're not utterly and completely in love with the desserts on the menu at U on the S, skip it and get yourself over to Finale (just a few short blocks away). They have the most amazing things!!

Mmmmmm.... oooooh....

Have a great time yo!!

Pardon this brief reflection on a childhood memory, but I can’t help remembering a show called “Great Chefs, Great Cities.” I used to watch it all the time on the Discovery Channel, in the late afternoon with my mother. Duck Foie Gras, for me, was the most recognizable dish prepared for the show. I always used to tell my mom I’d go traveling to all the cities they showcased, and I’d become a great food connoisseur. And now, I have an opportunity to begin that tangent of my existence because of YOU. I know it’s just a first course meal, but still.

I’ll save the Finale desserts for the next time I’m in the area. Warm ginger cake w/ pear cognac caramel and crème fraiche ice cream sounds like it’ll hit the spot for a cold Friday night. Ohhhhhhhh yea!

I didn't really forget your birthday. I just remembered too late, that's all... a slight technicality. Happy birthday... but I think I'm too young to spank you.

HAHA! I almost forgot it too, no worries. And yea, it’s probably not a good idea for you to be spanking me. But who knows, if you keep your grades up, and turn 18 quickly enough, I might just give you that honor. =p
