-My day was excellent, but very busy. It would have been better if they would have cancelled school because of the snow, but they've done it twice this year already.
-Yesterday was actually a little better. I spent my evening it doing a lot of HW, and listening to some new jams from PD, and the new PTDI joint. Hot shizzle.
-6 days, 5 nights. If you know any industry hot spots on Saturday nights, hook a brotha up.
-Of course. I've haven't been further west than Colorado, so I have to see what's on the other side. It fits the motif of what I'm trying to accomplish this semester.
-Soft-serve vanilla with a caramel & marshmallow swirl. I've never had any before, but I imagine it would be my favorite if I ever came across it.
I'd totally agree with you, but I'm sleazy enough to find something decent in LA. My dad always wanted to take a family trip to SF, but we never got around to it. Maybe someday...
PS: A friend of mine is heading out to SF for the break, and he actually thinks he's going to be able to work on his term project. Pssshhh, whatevah, I wouldn't do jack shit wherever I go for break.
LA is a funtime dude....don't let anybody tell you otherwise. It's a shitty place to live but an awesome place to visit...great food....people watching...pop culture shit everywhere you look...and the hands down BEST vintage clothing store on the planet (yes, even better than all the shit we have in NYC). I'm sure that you'll find yourself in the vicinity of Melrose at some point so DO check out Golf Punk-- it's at 7515 Melrose Ave-- and even if you don't wind up buying anything, just fingering the vintage leathers, gazillion jeans and freaky/funky accessories makes it worth the trip---and so does observing the more intense customers (hehe)
Questions may follow if I get some sleep and regain some brain energy.... we'll see...
Anyway, if we don't "talk" before, have an awesome trip! My break is week after next...yay for crazy sailing around in some blue water! Catch you on the other side dude.
HOLY SHIT! Thanks for mentioning Golf Punk. I found the website and I REALLY want to buy this one shirt, but it’s $60. And its only a t-shirt, but it looks FANTASTIC (you can prolly guess which one I'm talking about). I have enough bones to throw done for it, but I’ll make my decision when I see it up close. I’ll be spending a lot of time in the Santa Monica area since my friend works at a studio there, so if you know an awesome place to eat, do tell.
Regain your energy, and maybe you can ask me questions after I careen over the edge of the world.
Um...the only place I've actually ever eaten in Santa Monica is at the Shutters Hotel. They have 2 restaurants (well they did a while ago) that are both awesome---Pedals, which is a beachfront kind of place and pretty casual...and One Pico, the formal place. I;m sure there are loads of cool amazing seafood and ethnic places too...you'll have fun finding them.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh watch out...it's the edge of the world.....
