I've already wasted an hour and a half of my morning (time that I truly do not have to waste) so...why not waste another 10-15mins to update, huh?
I'm a little disoriented this morning because, after going to bed just after 10pm, I woke up promptly and quite chipperly at 4am. Four. A. M. Feeling like there were no other options, I began studying. After about 2hrs of that, I tuckered myself out enough to get in another hour of sleep. When I awoke the second time, I was much more calm. I simply rolled out of bed, stepped into my closet, threw on my slacks that I'd already prepared to wear, and picked out a sweater. After putting the sweater on, I realized it was just a tad wrinkled right in the tummy area. So, I resolved to iron it...while it was on my body.
I blame the discombobulation and not my own usual stupidity...but either way, I've been injured. I'll add whatever this resulting scar looks like to the map of scars already on my torso. Uuuuuugh!
After bandaging myself and getting my head on straight, I got out of the door, happy to be making it to the office at a decent time. When I got out of my door and looked at the road I'd need to travel to get out of my complex, what should I see? A flood. A friggin' lake had formed over the road. The only road, in fact, that I can take out of my complex. It had been there yesterday as I was coming home from work. I've seen it happen before when we got a torrential downpour like the one we got yesterday. It's a flash flood. Normally, the water clears in a matter of hours. Today, the water decided to stay and make my brief commute a pain in the rear. After considering all of my other options (of which, there were none), I decided to drive through the lake again. After doing so, I promptly called the leasing office. No answer.
