MaruBaru post of love part 2!
I wasn't really planning on making a second post so soon after the first, but in light of obtaining new video footage and stumbling across a bunch of other goodies on YouTube and wanting to share some music, I thought it'd be best to get it out of the way before I disappear again during the work week XD
I'll admit it, I basically drowned my Sunday away with digging through YouTube and watching probably over 100 Kanjani8 related videos so far. My brain feels like mush so I think I've reached an acceptable stopping point, but there's definitely a few things I found along the way which I want to share :D
I'm not entirely sure where to start since yesterday I had the advantage of putting everything down in chronological order, so I'm just going to go through my favorites on YouTube and share them as I see them.
You guys remember that clip I put up yesterday with Maru in the pink shirt and Subaru in the white jacket with all of the excessive arm and shoulder grabbing going on by Subaru? Well there's a second part to it! And it's even better than the first *__* I wish I could embed it here but the user has the option turned off, so I'll just have to link it and do the screencaps :D
To the MaruBaru love ♥
There's actually some really interesting body language going on between Subaru and Maru during the second half of this segment. Maru actually makes an attempt to be affectionate in return and gets his hand shaken off by Subaru after this part, which for all we know could be because either Subaru doesn't want them to be overly touchy on TV or he simply doesn't want to be touched back and wants to be in control.
Still it doesn't stop Subaru from establishing ownership while he can XD
There's actually a full minute or so of awkward folded arms on both their parts before Subaru deigns to put his arm around Maru again. It's probably something I could spend hours trying to analyze and figure out what the hot-cold-act going on is all about, but I'll refrain XD;
The best part though is definitely right at the very very end, where we see Subaru put his hand on Maru's knee and Maru takes a chance to slide his hand around and lace his fingers through Subaru's *_____* I can't tell you how HAPPY seeing this part made me. Ever since seeing the first clips and caps of hand holding by these guys I've been hoping more than anything to catch a moment on film where the hand holding was being instigated, not ended, and ;asjdklajdklasda they delivered *_______* That it was Maru and not Mr. I Have To Be In Control Subaru makes it even sweeter XDD
Remember I talked about the evolution of Subaru and Maru's closeness during "Sukiyanen Oosaka" performances at the end? Well here's a good example of what they were like back in Sept of '05, around the same time as the shots above.
Then a year later we have this performance, which is awesome to watch because it has a medley with Obachan ROCK and once again, hugging Maru and Subaru at the last line of Sukiyanen XD
Compare that kind of behavior to what we see later and you can see the evolution of their relationship (publically) a mile away :D
I know I put up screencaps galore and a gif of this, but if anyone's curious to watch more of the Idol Pose video with the MaruBaru on stage snuggling, someone's put up a copy of it on YouTube that might disappear in the near future since the subber has asked it not to be posted there ^^ So watch it while you can!
Alright on to more new goodies!
In the winter of '06 the boys of Kanjani8 did a series of single-episode dramas usually starring two or three members of the group together. They were badly written, badly directed, and generally had bad acting, but it had the boys in it and what's not to like about that? XD Incidentally Subaru starred in one and had Maru and Okura for co-stars, so of course that means when I found out there was a backstage/making of video for the dramas I HAD to see it for any possible MaruBaru going on ♥
There's no bigger invitation to get up to as much trouble as they like when they give the guys a single room together to share XD
So the camera comes into the room and what does it find? Maru sitting on Subaru's back and giving his boyfriend a massage, duh!
This segment is absolutely hilarious because not only is Maru terrible at giving a massage, but he's using a guide book to teach him as he goes. Oh Maru, the things you do to make your man happy ♥
But as I said, despite how much he might want to turn Subaru into a puddle of horny goo, Maru's pretty terrible and Subaru is one of the most vocally displeased patients I've ever seen get a massage, lol. Even with all his complaints though he never once tells Maru to stop, which is rather sweet in itself, just keeps telling him over and over "that hurts!" and "you're using too much strength on my body." Hopefully Maru will have better luck with giving massages in the future XD
Yet what clip of two beautiful boys sitting butt to crotch could possibly be complete without the appearance of a certain, smaller third member? XDD
Oh Maru. Maru Maru Maru ♥ It's okay, anyone would have that probably sitting on their boyfriend's ass *__*
And the fact that it just gets better worse as time goes on just makes it even cuter XDD
Well now you've seen the caps, time to watch it for real! I can't just leave fangirls hanging when I'm sitting on goods this hot, so I broke up the video and put it up on YouTube for all to see and squeal over ♥
The first one has the massage segment and an absolutely hilarious scene where Subaru and Maru play finger-tag together over a tabletop while filming is going on in the background for a scene. In addition to the utter dorkiness of the part is the undeniable fact that these guys seriously can't go any more than a few minutes without needing to touch the other when they're in the same room XDD The second video clip is from later in the day where the guys enjoy a (shirtless) dinner together, play Barrel of Monkeys, and Subaru and Maru go off into the garden behind the hotel to makeout bond with the cicadas and act like little boys playing with bugs for the camera ♥
There's also a short part earlier in the making of when Maru and Okura haven't shown up yet and we see Subaru in his hotel room gloveless and drinking water. There was a prime shot to catch the faded tattoo on his right hand, so I thought I'd share it for the curious masses -
Sadly that's it for interesting new MaruBaru videos, but I've been putting together a playlist on YouTube with all my favorite Kanjani8 videos I've come across, which while not all being MaruBaru some are pretty damn funny to watch for seeing the other guys doing crazy stuff :D
Now time to share music! I've had so many people replying with curiosity about the boys and Kanjani8 in general, or have heard one or two songs but really know nothing about the group, so here's some music to whet your appetite ^_^
Naniwa Iro wa Bushi - Their most famous and most played/performed song to date, which was also the very first single they released back in 2004.
Oh! ENKA - My favorite Kanjani8 song. Ever. I love it listening to it. I love watching it performed. I love the costumes and the dance and just EVERYTHING about this song *__*
Sukiyanen Oosaka - The song of love ♥
Obachan ROCK - I unexpectedly fell in love with this song, which was surprising considering that it's a song about old ladies going shopping. WHAT. Yeah just listen to it and love Hina's insane kansaiben at the beginning XD
Kung Fu Fighting - The bad Chinese in this song kills, but it's a Kanjani8 song, which means it's catchy and it'll get your feet moving ^_^
Zukkoke Otokomichi - Their most recent single and probably their most cracky to date, but trust me it grows on you really, really fast XD
