Note: When writing a paper about gangs, it is unwise to listen to anything that is not rap music. Clearly, rap is the only motivational music for the subject at hand. Clearly.
Also, Marisa and I are going to the WHITE SOX game on Friday! Yessss.
They had a much better performance today. I have a sneaking suspicion it's because they had their original lineup on the field. Fabulous. Buerhle's pitching was pretty good, and the rest of the defense backed him up when the ball got hit. Thome hit another homer, which helped. Had he not hit that, there could have been some trouble in the bottom of the 9th. Speaking of the bottom of the 9th, JOE CREDE... wow. I think he's gotten it back. He made an amazing snowcone diving catch to get Sweeney out, which later turned into a controversial call and the ejection of the Royals' manager. Excellent! And then he also made the game-winning play to first. Not to mention his double/2 RBI's early on in the game. And Bobby Jenks threw the heat when he got his first save today -- if that one batter hadn't been on his back next to home plate for that one fastball, he would have been in the hospital. Stay away from Jenks's 100+ mph fastballs. Oh, and of course... when Thome hits a line drive to first base, stand back and let it go into right field. Otherwise it'll either leave a mark in your palm or land you in the hospital if you're an inch to the right. Anyway. It looks like everything is coming together finally. But hey, it's too early to judge anything. Even the Yankees were 1-4 before today. There's still 156 games left. We'll see how Garcia's pitching is tomorrow against the Tigers. Hopefully I won't have to add Michigan to my list of states to invade... although, I could just swing by on my way to Ohio.
At any rate... GO SOX!
