At long last... ! Publishing Inferiorum in May

I've mentioned how my bloodbrother, Jimmy, is publishing his own comic book called Inferiorum. Now, finally, I have the particulars of where and when and how said comic book will manifest. But this leads me to consider the semantics of our peculiar terminology. Would one truly describe a black and white inked graphic picture book as "comic?"

Have you considered the rather popular term, "graphic novel?"

I can't wait to see what this turns out like!

It doesn't work for this particular example- being a b&w series, rather than a complete-in-one-volume "graphic novel." However, we'll call the colorized version by that term, assuming the original sells well enough to print a color version!
