Twenty-six still alive

While V spent her first week of summer vacation in Ohio, I was in charge of Netflix, her new pet goldfish. She's due home in less than a day and Netflix is hanging in there. Whew! And I've also taken over her dog-walking for the next-door neighbor. Even though we came alarmingly close to a gigantic raccoon a couple of days ago, all is well there,

One of my brother's co-workers yesterday went out to the picnic bench next to the office, and encountered a bear.

As for me, I'm still hoping/waiting for a resurgence of the eastern mountain lion to take care of the deer problem.

That should be a very interesting solution to the deer problem. I'm not sure it would solve my walking-at-night problem (depends how I define "solve", I guess).
