So.  Today seems to be the harbinger of the dead.  Lots of people on my FB and LJ losing friends, lovers, close people.

On the contrary, empathy is healthy. The world would be better if there was more of it.

Those of us who see, realize how much is hidden.
Those of us that hear, realize how inaudible the whispers of the soul can be.
Those of us that feel the patterns beneath our skin, realize that there are deeper patterns that cannot be touched.
Those of us that understand, realize they understand nothing.

Those of us that feel, feel strongly, and yet do not feel at all, for should the emotions of the world subsume them, they would lose their own identity and reality.

Emotion is the source of the greatest power, and the most significant weakness.
It builds us and breaks us down.
It satisfies us and leaves us wanting.
It empowers us and drains us of everything.

Those who can grasp the fabric of emotion have a view into the very heart of the universe that cannot be matched by any physical sense, and theirs is the power to teach, to aid, and most of all, to learn.
