I loved it. It retrospectively made me like Amy a lot. All season I've found her vicious and shouty. The idea that her parents were swallowed up by the crack was horrifying and explained so much about her. Imagine growing up with no memories, but just that inexplicable feeling that something was terribly wrong.
Which just leaves the question: If Amy's parents were erased from history, how did Amy exist? And does it have something to do with the fact that she slept beneath the crack, but it never touched her?
I am going to expect her to be a little more balanced next year. At least she finally seemed happy to get married to the guy she said yes to (I'm not saying she wasn't allowed doubts, but sheesh; if you are incapable of communicating those doubts to the guy you said yes to, maybe you shouldn't be saying yes?).
I have no doubt Amy and Rory's marriage will remain on uneven footing. If 2000 years isn't going to get Rory to stand up for himself nothing will, which I think is fine if you just take a moment and imagine Amy and Rory
like this (but only if you're 18, or whatever age your parents deem appropriate for the kinky stuff)
I wonder when the doctor figured out Amy's pond was short a few ducks? He faked it well enough after Rory died...
And what about unnatural history?
Has anyone seen this non cartoon on the Cartoon network?
It's remarkably like the '
The journey of Allen Strange' in the sense that a 'super-powered' fish out of water kid has adventures while his American friends teach him how to blend in, but not in the sense that the protagonist is a highly intelligent alien being who chose to be black, but instead is a white kid who appropriates every cool gimmick from other cultures as suits the plot.
Less offensive in general, but specifically to me is the fact that these damn genius kids won't stop eating cheeseburgers over historical documents. STOP DOING THAT!
Still I guess this show could be entertaining in an incredibly dumb way (it's a kids show). I guess it depends how they'll continue to portray Henry. It's fine for him to not be into American consumerism, but I really hope they don't make him into a modern Tarzan. The naive about 'human customs' works for an alien, not for a kid who's been living abroad with his American parents...
