Girly stuff

I just realized that my makeup is kind of clownish today. I thought that once you hit adulthood and had half an ounce of sense, makeup would be easy. Apparently not. Part of the solution, ideally, would be flawless skin that didn't require the gallon of concealer I use every day, but obviously that's not going to happen any time soon. I have dreams ( Read more... )

What concealer do you use, if you don't mind my asking? I'm thinking of trying something new to address these undereye circles and that perpetually-shiny spot on the bridge of my nose. Bleh. Cream blush I'm intrigued by, but i'm just worried I'd accidentally slather on too much.

Hooray for new little people coming into the world!

I use MAC, in a tube, for my undereyes, and a Bobbi Brown foundation to cover up zits. the BB is still a bit too golden for my skin, which is irritating because it was hella expensive, but I'm not sure anyone notices but me.

I would highly recommend YSL Touche Eclat. Best concealer ever. I use bare escentuals mineral foundation, and Clinique Superbalanced liquid when I'm performing. All works well, but I've had like a zillion other things before finding these.

I have heard faaabulous things about the YSL - I'll have to save up because everyone says it just makes spots disappear.

it is amazing. Soooooo worth it. Makes me look like I've had a full eight hours' sleep even when I've had one of my worst bouts of insomnia.

I feel you. My skin has gotten worse & worse the older I get. I am really partial to the MAC concealer that comes in a little pot. i use a brush to apply it and it works pretty darn well. Another good one is the clinique advanced concealer. Super matte coverage.

I use the potted MAC too, on occasion. I've been told it's too thick for under the eyes, but honestly I'm not smart enough to figure it out.

I have SERIOUS undereye dark circles. One very rude sales girl took my makeup off my face and asked if I had been beat up because it looked like i had two black eyes ( ... )
