Writing Science Fiction is not for the faint of heart.

I just wrote an ABHoS Short in which I calmly kill off somewhere in the rough neighourhood of four billion people. Possibly more. Probably more, in fact.

Good times.

To lighten the mood a bit, I'm using my 'chewing on the floating disembodied head of Runtley' userpic.

Well, first you take Runtley (or any other cat with no dignity) and hold him inside your shirt so that his head pokes out the top. Then, you bury your face in his fuzzy little head and bulge your eyes out slighly for dramatic effect. Then you need a friend to take a picture of you and the cat, since both of your hands are full of cat and inside of your own shirt. When you're done, very carefully remove the cat (cats are sharp on five of their six ends, after all) and give him some little head scritches to calm him down and make him feel a bit better.

Black shirts work best, since they help hide the big bulging chunk of cat in the middle of your chest. Frame the picture about mid-chest or higher, so that you can't see the arms supporting the cat.

And there you go, your own floating disembodied cat head shirt.
